What We Offer
Psychological Focus
My work emphasizes psychological treatment.
Medication may be used when it supports therapy—not as a substitute.
I do not provide medication management alone and will refer you to an affiliated consultant if needed.
Therapeutic Style
My approach is guided by the mentalizing stance, from Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT)—an attachment-based, evidence-supported model.
I also integrate methods from:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Unifying Protocol (UP)
Somatic Experiencing (SE)—I am a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP)
Treatment
Style of Therapy
We use the framework of the mentalizing stance derived from the Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT), which is an attachment-based, evidence-based therapy, while incorporating additional interventions borrowed from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy CBT, Unifying Therapy, and Dialectic-Behavioral Therapy DBT. I use the Somatic Experiencing modality as a trained Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).

Clinical supervision is available for therapists seeking to implement a mentalizing stance in their practice. Please reach out directly to discuss.

Relational and attachment difficulties
Personality disorders (borderline, narcissistic, antisocial)
Impulsivity, anger, or poor decision-making
Depression and mood disorders
Anxiety and panic attacks
Trauma and PTSD, treated with Somatic Experiencing and PRISM (amygdala-based neurofeedback offered in person)

You know your experience best. Our role is to collaborate with you—to help you understand patterns that cause distress. If we misunderstand you, we rely on you to correct us toward greater understanding.
Therapy is a joint process of exploration and healing.
From You
Therapy requires active engagement. We may give specific exercises between sessions to help you apply new insights.
